HGAC BIG Goals, Local Challenges: Collaborating for Better Water Quality

Join EWRI Houston for a lunchtime webinar with Houston-Galveston Area Council on the Bacteria Implementation Group on June 25th!

Join EWRI Houston for a webinar with Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) to discover how water quality ties into your work as a water resources professional.
We’ll spotlight the work of the Bacteria Implementation Group (BIG)—a thirty-three-member committee implementing a practical, science-based plan to reduce bacteria levels in local water bodies affected by Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) projects. You’ll learn about local water quality efforts and how they intersect with traditional water quantity management.
If your expertise is in flood control, stormwater systems, or hydrology, this is a great opportunity to explore how your work connects to water quality—and why it matters for sustainable planning.
