Join us for a Volunteer Event at White Oak Bayou
We are excited to participate with the Houston Parks Board and their annual #ParksByYou 2024 event.
White Oak Bayou Greenway is home to a scenic detention basin, hundreds of acres of grasslands, forest, and wetlands designed for flood control. With your help, Houston Parks Board is transforming White Oak Bayou with hike-and-bike trails connecting surrounding communities to parks and nature.
Special thanks to Restoration MCC church for allowing volunteers to park at their site, located at 2025 W. 11th Street. Once parked, you will cross over W.11th Street to join the Houston Parks Board along the bayou - be on the lookout for their tent and outreach table. Houston Parks Board will provide tools, gloves, and other equipment needed. Come in weather-appropriate clothing as well as close-toed shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.
