What: Come out to Galveston and join the world’s largest volunteer effort to clean up our oceans and waterways by participating in the International Coastal Clean-Up, a joint event of Texas Adopt-A-Beach and The Ocean Conservancy.
Last year, 1200 volunteers spread out over 32 miles of Galveston Beach and collected a total of 15,000 lb of debris!
The Texas Adopt-A-Beach program, an all-volunteer effort, is dedicated to preserving and protecting Texas beaches. The program's success is due to the generous efforts of dedicated volunteer county coordinators, coastal community leaders, sponsors and citizens. Strong support from the private sector helps carry the message to Texans all across the state.
Supplies and lunch will be provided.
Show up the day of the event or book a hotel and make it a family and friends weekend.
When: Saturday, April 23rd 8:30am-12noon
Where: Volunteers should check-in at Menard Park, 27th & Seawall Blvd, Galveston, TX. Further details will be provided to confirmed volunteers.
Who: ASCE members, family, friends, and beach-lovers
