TEXAS COPRI ANNUAL FALL CONFERENCE 2026 - CALL FOR ABSTRACTS - OPEN TILL 9/4/2026

The Texas Chapter of COPRI (COPRI TX) announces the Call for Abstracts for its 2026 Fall Conference on September 24 for a full 1-day in person event in Galveston, Texas. The venue for the conference will be hosted at Texas A&M Galveston University within the ASEC Ballroom.

 COPRI TX goals are to enhance the advancement of scientific and engineering knowledge for members engaged in sustainable development and protection of coasts, oceans, ports, waterways, and wetlands. COPRI TX will bring added products and services to local members of ASCE and will foster communication and cooperation among our members in government, industry, and academia. The program will include sessions covering Coasts, Ports, Oceans and Navigation & Waterways.

 This local conference provides an opportunity for members from academia, industry and government to develop collaborative networks to promote best management practices, while learning the latest science and engineering in the development and protection of coasts, oceans, ports, waterways, and wetlands.

Abstract Submission:

On-line abstract submission is required and easy to complete. Abstracts shall be submitted online at:   [email protected] AND   [email protected]

Abstracts shall be in English, shall be 500 words or less, and should not include graphics/figures.

Provide the required contact information (name, company, business address, phone, and email) for the corresponding author and any co-authors. Also indicate who you expect to make the presentation at the conference.

Deadline for abstract submissions is September 4, 2026

Choose the theme from the available list below that best fits your presentation.

1.    Coastal

2.  Oceans

3.  Ports

4.  Rivers

5.  Navigation & Waterways

Proposing authors whose abstracts are accepted are expected to attend the conference and make the presentation. At this time the conference is not considering virtual presentations.

Conference registration fees will be waived for the person who makes the presentation at the conference.

COPRI TX will accept or reject proposed presentations based on the information provided in the abstract.

To the extent possible and appropriate, presentations will be assigned within conference theme sessions based on the theme identified by the author.

COPRI TX reserves the right to assign presentations to other conference sessions.
