KEYNOTE ADDRESS

Cassie Hoeprich, Director of Planning & Economic Development for Downtown Houston+
Topic: Latest Developments of Downtown Management District and Main Street Promenade project

Bio: Cassie Hoeprich is an urban planner with a background in community-driven economic development, urban design, and policy initiatives. Her career has included projects and roles in California, New York City, and Houston, Texas. Since 2023, she has served as the Director of Planning & Economic Development for Downtown Houston+. In this role, Cassie works within the intricate framework of Downtown Houston's revitalization through her management of TIRZ #3/Downtown Redevelopment Authority (which reinvests property tax increments for public improvements), the Houston Downtown Management District (focused on supplemental services and a vibrant public realm), and Central Houston Inc. (a private sector-led organization driving strategic development) leadership and their respective annual budgets.

Her prior experience includes roles with the San Francisco Mayor's Office, the Hollywood Partnership, and the consulting firm Urban Place Consulting. Beyond her professional work, Cassie is deeply committed to sustainable urban initiatives and currently serves as Chairperson of the Board for Houston's Finca Tres Robles Urban Farm. In the past, she has contributed her expertise to the boards of San Francisco's Youth Art Exchange and Oakland Art Murmur. Cassie holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA.
