2026 INWED Scholarship Application

 The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Houston Branch is proud to offer the 2026 ASCE International Women in Engineering Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to outstanding female students within the region served by the Houston Branch who are pursuing an engineering degree.

Scholarships will be awarded based on overall merit, academic achievement, leadership, and financial responsibility. The number and value of each scholarship will be determined based on the pool of applicants. The total number and amount of awards are set annually by the ASCE Houston Branch; however, the minimum award amount will be $1,000.

Who is eligible?

At the time of application, candidates must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Be an engineering student (civil engineering preferred) who either:
    • Attends a college or university within the 13-county area served by the ASCE Houston Branch, or
    • Has a permanent address within the 13-county area served by the ASCE Houston Branch.
  2. Intending to enroll or currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours in the fall of 2026).
  3. Willing to participate in an interview with the selection committee, if requested.

The Houston Branch 13-county area includes: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Jackson, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Waller, and Wharton Counties.

What do I need to apply?

  • Completed application and all required supporting documentation submitted by the deadline.
  • At least one letter of recommendation.
  • A copy of your transcript.
  • Your resume.
  • Signed Acknowledgement form (Form located here)
